Your To-Do List Is a Guilt Trip
You keep adding tasks and completing maybe three of them. Then you move the rest to tomorrow, where they pile up with a new batch. Rinse and repeat until the whole list feels like a guilt trip.
Handful gives you five task slots per day. That's the cap. You can't add a sixth. The constraint sounds annoying until you realize it forces the only decision that actually matters: what's worth doing today?
Every morning, fill your slots and crown one as your Most Important Task. The rest fall in line. If something doesn't make the cut, it goes to the Parking Lot.
"Five tasks is plenty when they're the right five."

How the Day Works
Morning setup, focused day, evening reflection. That's the whole rhythm.
Morning Setup
Fill your five slots. Crown your Most Important Task. The app walks you through it in about 30 seconds.
Focused Day
Work your list. Tap to complete. If you left an empty slot, lock in a new task anytime during the day.
Evening Reflection
Write down three wins, however small. Deal with anything left over: park it for later or let it go.
What's Included
Every feature exists to help you focus on what matters — nothing more.
Hard Cap of 5
Five daily task slots. This is the feature, not a limitation. The constraint forces the only question that matters: what's worth doing today?
Most Important Task
Crown one task each morning as your MIT. It gets pinned to the top. If you only finish one thing today, make it this one.
Parking Lot
Tasks that don't fit today go here. They don't disappear, but they don't nag you either. If something sits too long, the app asks: still important?
To-Don't List
Track what you won't do. "Check email first thing." "Doom scroll at lunch." Writing down what steals your focus helps you protect it.
Home Screen Widgets
Small and medium widgets keep your five tasks visible on your home screen. Glance at what matters without opening the app.
Stale Task Detection
Tasks sitting in the Parking Lot too long get flagged. A simple nudge: is this still important to you? Honest answer only.

The Story Behind Handful
I kept adding tasks to my to-do list and completing maybe three of them. Then I'd move the rest to tomorrow, where they'd pile up with a new batch. The list was supposed to help me — instead it just made me feel behind.
I tried every task app out there. They all wanted me to build elaborate systems of projects and labels and dependencies. But the problem was never organization — it was that I was trying to do too much.
So I built Handful around one hard constraint: five tasks per day. It turns out that's plenty when you actually follow through on all of them. I use this app every morning.
