Privacy Policy for Spool
Last Updated: April 8, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Spool ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application ("the App").
2. Information Collection and Use
2.1. Personal Information:
The App does not collect or transmit any personal information from your device.
2.2. Photo Library Access:
With your permission, the App accesses your device's photo library in read-only mode to identify Live Photo sequences. Your photos are analyzed entirely on your device. No photos, videos, or image data are uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server or third party.
2.3. Exported Videos:
Videos created by stitching Live Photos together are processed entirely on your device. Exported files are saved to your local photo library or shared via the iOS Share Sheet at your discretion. We have no access to these files.
2.4. Purchase Information:
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. An anonymous export counter is stored locally in your device's Keychain to manage the free trial.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored locally on your device. The App does not communicate with any external servers. We do not have access to your photos, videos, or any other data on your device. Your content remains entirely private to you.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1. Apple's StoreKit:
We use Apple's StoreKit to manage the in-app purchase for watermark removal. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle purchase data.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not collect any personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
