Privacy Policy for Maelstrom

2.1. Personal Information:

The App does not collect or transmit any personal information to us. We have no servers, no analytics, and no tracking.

2.2. Location Data:

With your permission, the App uses your device's location to retrieve local weather forecasts through Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Your location is used to request forecast data from Apple's weather service; it is never sent to us or stored anywhere outside your device.

2.3. Saved Locations and Rain Journal:

Locations you save, your rain journal statistics, and your settings are stored locally on your device. This data is not synced to any cloud service operated by us and is not accessible by us.

4.1. Apple Weather (WeatherKit):

Forecast data is provided by Apple Weather. Weather requests are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

4.2. Apple StoreKit:

Any purchases in the App are processed by Apple's StoreKit. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle purchase data.

5.1. Location:

Used only to show the weather where you are. The App works without location access if you prefer to search for locations manually.

5.2. Notifications:

With your permission, the App sends notifications about approaching rain and storms. These are generated from forecast data on your device and are entirely opt-in.
